Detail Join your Adventure Puketi guide at Puketi Heights in the Bay of Islands to commence a fully guided two hour Night Forest Walk. At twilight listen to the bird song changing from day calls to night calls, see bats flying overhead feeding on insects and on nightfall observe the nocturnal wildlife of the forest in their habitats. If you’re lucky maybe even a kiwi! Tour concludes approximately 2 hours after commencement, at Adventure Puketi base.

Join your Adventure Puketi guide at Puketi Heights in the Bay of Islands to commence a full day Adventure Puketi Guided Walk. Be guided through the heart of the Puketi Forest to visit stunning stands of awesome Kauri Trees which are encircled by great views of the Bay of Islands and the surrounding rainforest and farmland. You will experience many types of fauna and flora. Visit the remnants of one of the grandest kauri ever felled in the forest as you visit a sanctuary for these giant trees that have been protected since 1951. The trail leads you to an unusual stand of kauri and hard beech forest along the banks of the river. Tour concludes approximately 6 hours after commencement, at Adventure Puketi base.
