The Hakusan Shirakawago White Road is a 33.3 km long paved toll road with sections between 600 and 1,450 meters above sea level which connects World Heritage site Shirakawago and Ishikawa Prefecture’s Hakusan city, ideal for sightseeing in the area. Attractive in any season with spring greenery, cooler temperatures in summer, colored leaves in autumn, and views of snow-capped peaks in winter, this area is blessed with many natural treasures including waterfalls of all sizes, beautiful valley scenery and a virgin forest of beech trees. Enjoy a wonderful drive through the mountains on the White Road.

The drive along Hakusan Shirakawago White Road, scheduled from early June to early November, is subject to change depending on weather conditions on the day. This will be used only from June 20 to Oct. 31. The Hakusan Shirakawago White Road passes through mountainous areas. Those prone to carsickness are recommended to bring the necessary medication.
